Snacks in my Desk Drawer
I’m a full time work-outside-of-the-house mom and often struggle to eat healthy at the office during the day. Before I got serious about getting healthy, I routinely drank… Diet Dr. Pepper from the office pop machine went out for food. (Take it from me, although the White Hen across the street may be convenient, they have very little healthy food choices.) Before I left the house in the morning I didn’t pack healthy food to take-with instead I made sure I had quarters for the pop machine so I could feed my habit.
Now I’ve learned and realize that one of the most hated words for a beta mom – planning – is required for me to get healthy. So, now I have a trusty-snack list and a desk-drawer-full of goodies.
Edamame – I find these in my grocer’s frozen veggie section.
Greek Yogurt – Thicker than regular yogurt, and I like it better.
100 calorie Microwave Popcorn – A lot of popcorn for little calories
Soy Chocolate Milk – When I want some chocolate….
Chocolate Pudding – When I want some chocolate…
Special K bars – I like all of the flavors – Chocolate, Strawberry, and Vanilla
Oranges and Apples – Of course. Easy snacks.
Grape Tomatoes – Almost sweet
