Review: E-mealz Mealtime Makeover
I’m passionate about saving money on running my household which is why I shop at thrift stores for clothes and at Aldi for groceries. I buy the majority of my kids’ clothes at a couple local thrift stores, and, trust me, they don’t dress shabbily, and oftentimes I get compliments on their appearances. (Even my new-teenager with his long messy hair style and ever-increasing darkening facial hair.) I’m teaching them an importance lesson in life – the value of a dollar – that will serve them well in their lives.
And, seriously, I love Aldi for all-things food as well as home cleaning supplies. See the pictures below after my total Aldi bill was $130. $130 for a cart full of groceries that will last about two weeks for my family of five. This includes items for school lunches, dinners, cereals for breakfast, snacks, and tons of fresh fruit and veggies.
Because of my love for Aldi, I recently signed up for the weekly recipe service at E-mealz Mealtime Makeover. I only paid $15 for three months, and three weeks in, I’ve been pleased. Every Tuesday I log in and retrieve that week’s Aldi recipe list, which includes 7 dinner recipes. My routine is to print it out, review the recipes, and highlight the ones I want to make. I then take the corresponding ingredient list with me to Aldi and shop.
- It’s super convenient to have yummy Aldi-friendly recipes plus the no-thinking shopping list.
- Each week, I receive 7 new recipes that are all easy to make.
- I may not make all of the recipes right now, but I save them for later use.
- So far a few recipes I’ve made are Spinach Feta Florentine Chicken, Turkey & Cheese Crescent Roll-Ups, and Pepper Steak, and each has been a hit with the family (which is just a bonus because I’d make them eat it anyway).
I’m all about convenience and frugality and trying new things – and this is one that I highly recommend. (And, although quite unfortunately for me, no one paid me or gave me anything to recommend E-mealz.)

Way to go! I love ALDI…I love how much I can save…and how good everything tastes!
I use them too! I use them for Walmart. and they give me the WW points for my dinner already figured out. I might have to try the aldi one!
